Mohammad Akrum Hossain, Chief Creative Officer at POP5 Ltd., is a powerhouse in Bangladesh’s advertising industry with over 18 years of experience. He has won 120+ prestigious awards including Cannes Lions, APAC Grand Effie’s, Spikes Grand Prix, Global Grand Effie’s, AdFest, and MAD STARS. Akrum has served as a jury member and speaker at global festivals like Cannes Lions, AdFest, Effie’s, MAD STARS, Cyclopes Festival, and more.
His journey began at Grey Dhaka with the award-winning “Impossipuzzle” for HMBR. In 2016, he helped Bangladesh win its first Cannes Gold Lion for the Eco-Cooler, a zero-electricity air cooling solution. In 2019, his Project AgroBanking turned fresh produce into bank accounts, winning multiple Cannes Lions and Spikes awards. In 2023, he led POP5 to win a record-breaking 16 MAD STARS.
Akrum has shaped campaigns for top brands like Telenor, Banglalink, GSK, Reckitt Benckiser, and UCB. His recent work includes Child Marriage Prevention Loan, The Unwritten Story, Tally Loan Druti, and Plastic Exchange Store—each blending creativity with social impact.
