Commward?

Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) has introduced COMMWARD, an initiative aimed at recognizing, honoring, and celebrating the efforts of local creative agencies, for the twelfth consecutive year. The main goal of COMMWARD is to acknowledge and uphold the effectiveness of creative communication in various media that strives to connect with audiences and achieve the intended outcomes. By bridging the gap between creative communication efforts and compliance with global standards and objectives, and attempts to make progress in the field.

COMMWARD 2025 CATEGORIES

ART DIRECTION

The direction of campaigns should add aesthetic value and clarity to a creative idea that makes the communications stand out through exceptional conceptualization. The campaign should make an affluent transition of concepts into visual executions through art direction.

B2B (NEW)

This category recognizes outstanding creativity in communications, experiences, or campaigns specifically targeting businesses, professionals, or industry decision-makers rather than general consumers. It celebrates work that drives engagement, relationships, and commercial success between companies.

BEST CAMPAIGN BY NEW AGENCY

Campaigns developed by agencies operating for less than five years are eligible. Any medium may be used, as long as the work demonstrates strong insight, strategic planning, and effective brand-to-consumer connection.

BEST CREATIVE STRATEGY

This award celebrates the powerful strategic thinking that fuels great ideas for a campaign. It recognizes strategic approaches that redefine brands, solve business challenges, and influence consumer behavior or culture. Entries should demonstrate deep insight, breakthrough thinking, and a clear link between strategy and creative impact.

BEST UNPUBLISHED WORK (NEW)

This category celebrates creative communication ideas or campaign materials that were fully developed but never released commercially, due to strategic, budgetary, client, or timing reasons. The work must demonstrate a high standard of concept, craft, and storytelling, reflecting the creative team’s intent and excellence, even if the campaign was not brought to life in the public domain.

BEST USE OF BRANDED CONTENT

Branded content that leverages a breakthrough strategy such as dedicated films, TV shows, audio/video series, or apps to create meaningful relationships, engaging experiences, and unique brand connections. Entries must clearly demonstrate the impact and results delivered for the brand and business.

BEST USE OF DIGITAL MEDIA

Entries must showcase ideas that are native to or significantly enhanced by the digital environment leveraging online platforms, technologies, and tools to deliver impactful brand messaging. Submissions should exhibit flawless design, strong execution, and exceptional user experience across various digital touchpoints.

BEST USE OF INFLUENCER

This award recognizes strategic and creative use of influencers, creators, or brand ambassadors to drive engagement, shape brand perception, and achieve measurable results. Entries should demonstrate how influencer partnerships were effectively aligned with brand goals and leveraged to generate meaningful impact across social platforms.

BRAND EXPERIENCE & PROMOTION

This category recognizes work that connects with audiences through meaningful relationships, memorable and engaging experiences, and a strong brand association to achieve business objectives. The campaign can be in any media (Activation, In App, Indoor). Entries should demonstrate how a well-crafted consumer journey, impactful brand experience, and optimization of every touchpoint contributed to increased brand affinity and commercial success.

CAMPAIGN FOR POSITIVITY (NEW)

This category will celebrate the creative works done for Non-Profit or Charity with exceptional Impact.

CAMPAIGN FOR SUSTAINABILITY

This category celebrates campaigns that champion sustainability and inspire positive change for a better future. Entries should reflect principles of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and innovative solutions addressing pressing sustainability challenges. By recognizing these efforts, the award aims to motivate others to contribute to a more sustainable and resilient world. The campaign’s effectiveness must be demonstrated through clearly defined KPIs and measurable impact.

CAMPAIGN FOR WOMEN

Women-centric campaigns that have driven awareness, shifted perceptions, inspired realization, or contributed to meaningful social change are eligible. Effectiveness must be demonstrated through measurable impact and behavioral shifts within the targeted demographic.

COPYWRITING

Thought-provoking and impactful writing that enhances a brand or campaign across any platform will be honored. Entries should reflect originality, clarity, and effectiveness in connecting with audiences through the written word.

CREATIVE BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION (NEW)

This category will honor innovative ideas that redefine how a business works, improvesefficiency, drives growth, or delivers societal impact through creative thinking embedded inbusiness transformation. It’s not just about making a great ad or campaign. It’s aboutchanging the way a company thinks, behaves, delivers, or grows using creativity as a drivingforce. Creativity can be applied beyond communication in operations, product, culture,customer experience, or systems. By demonstrating tangible business impact or measurablechange. It should reflect sustained transformation, not one-off campaigns.

EFFICACY

The awards recognize campaigns that deliver powerful, measurable results, prioritizing impact over aesthetics. Entries should demonstrate how strategic insights and result driven approaches effectively engaged the target audience and achieved clear business or brand objectives. Judging focuses on the campaign’s effectiveness, strategy, and measurable outcomes.

FILM

This award category will honor exceptionally crafted campaign videos, TVCs, AVs, and digital films that demonstrate creative excellence and brilliant brand storytelling, regardless of the medium through which they are broadcast.

FILM CRAFT

Outstanding filmmaking that elevates creative storytelling through technical excellence will be recognized. Submissions may include direction, script, casting, production design, cinematography, editing, sound design, original or adapted music, animation, visual effects, and overall production innovation.

INNOVATION IN MEDIA

This award honors campaigns that leverage innovative media strategies and platforms to engage audiences, meet marketing goals, and drive business growth. Entries should demonstrate innovative use of media channels which has not been used before and formats, combining them effectively to stand out in a crowded landscape and create meaningful brand connections. Judging will consider the strength of the insight and idea, media strategy and execution, and the impact achieved.

INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN

Campaigns that showcase a single, cohesive idea executed across three or more media platforms with innovation and excellence are eligible. Entries must clearly demonstrate the campaign’s ability to meet key performance indicators and deliver measurable results.

LONG TERM BRAND PLATFORM (NEW)

This category offers agencies a spotlight welcoming campaigns which has been running formore than five years and has created a positive impact for society or business. It’s a space torecognize outstanding work that may have flown under the radar or found its relevancemore clearly in hindsight.Whether it’s a bold concept ahead of its time, a culturally resonant piece that continues tomake an impact, or simply a creative gem that deserves a chance.Entries must demonstrate creative strength, strategic clarity, and contextual impact, it’s notabout reliving the past it’s about giving great ideas their rightful place in the spotlight.

LUXURY(NEW)

This category honors creative work that elevates the desirability, mystique, and status of luxury brands. It includes advertising, experiences, content, and platforms that reinforce the heritage, uniqueness, or modern redefinition of luxury, while maintaining brand integrity. Brands like (Fashion & Accessories, Automotive, Hospitality, Jewelry & Watches etc.) will be under the purview of this category.

Most Creative Use of Media

Creative application of media whether through unique use of traditional formats or innovative approaches within common channels will be recognized. Campaigns should illustrate how different platforms were optimized to achieve an effective balance of qualitative and quantitative outcomes.

MOST EFFECTIVE USE OF MEDIA

Media executions that have delivered strong strategic alignment and clear, measurable results in audience engagement will be awarded. Entries must demonstrate effectiveness in leveraging media spaces to fulfill brand objectives and deliver impact.

MUSIC / JINGLE

This award recognizes original music or jingles that go beyond traditional brand messaging to create top-of-mind awareness. Entries should demonstrate how music was strategically crafted and integrated to captivate audiences, enhance brand recall, and influence culture through authentic, creative expression.

NATIVE

Recognizes campaigns that authentically reflect local values be it culture, religion, traditions, beliefs, or language. Work should celebrate and preserve the distinct heritage and richness of regional identities.

OUTDOOR

This category recognizes creative brand communication experienced in OOH spaces. It honors ideas that use outdoor environments such as billboards, posters, transit ads, installations etc to deliver impactful messages and engage audiences in meaningful ways. Entries should demonstrate originality, strong visual execution, and effective use of space to bring the brand to life.

PACKAGING

Honors brands with unique and eye-catching packaging created for normal usage, special occasions, festivals, or promotional purposes. Submissions must demonstrate how the packaging design captured consumer attention and reinforced brand identity.

PR

Public Relations campaigns that leverage earned media primarily and then paid media to shape perception, build reputation, and drive meaningful impact are recognized in this category. Entries should demonstrate original ideas, strategic thinking, and strong storytelling that contribute significantly to a brand’s communication and influence.

PRINT & PUBLISHING

This category recognizes creative and impactful brand communication in printed or published media, or campaigns that revolve around the print medium. Entries should showcase strong ideas brought to life through clever execution and exceptional visual craftsmanship. Judging will focus on the idea, execution, and impact of the work.

RURAL MARKETING

Open to campaigns that successfully re-established or enhanced a brand’s presence in rural markets of Bangladesh through impactful activations or advertisements. Entries will be evaluated on concept, creativity, and effective execution.

SMALL BUDGET MEDIA CAMPAIGN

Awards campaigns that delivered strong marketing and business results while operating within a total production and media budget of under BDT 500,000. Entries must showcase smart strategy and resourceful execution.

TITANIUM

This award honors groundbreaking creativity that redefines how brands communicate, operate, or engage with audiences. It celebrates bold, boundary-breaking ideas that set new industry benchmarks and push the limits of innovation. Medium-neutral by design, any work that drives meaningful change and inspires the future of marketing is eligible.

Rules & Regulations

The Commward 2025 (hereafter referred to as CMW 2025) recognizes the best creative work of Bangladesh’s agencies and organizations in the ever expanding traditional and digital media.

1. ELIGIBILITY

    • Campaigns submitted for The Commward (CMW) 2025 should be active in the traditional & digital platforms from June 1st, 2024, to May 31st, 2025.
    • Work entered in the previous year cannot be re-entered unless a significantly different version of the campaign is newly created.
    • In exceptional circumstances, work (Nominations) that could not be submitted in the previous edition due to the timeline and incomplete results (for 2024) can be submitted in CMW 2025.
    • CMW 2025 assumes all entries are original and the agency/organization that owns the work, has permission from the client, or they can submit the work with all rights granted.
    • A No Objection Certificate (NOC) letter from the Client/Marketing Head/Brand Head certifying that the submission is an original and approved work should be submitted.
    • Clients and agencies cannot nominate the same campaign in the same category (if it happens, the agency’s submission will be considered). Still, they may nominate the same campaign in different categories.
    • The CMW 2025 NOMINATION KIT is available online and the work must only be submitted online with all the relevant details requested. The entire process will be paperless and automated.
    • To protect the integrity of the judging, please provide the name of the agency/organization only when asked for. Mention of the submitting agencies/organizations‘ logo and name in the case of av will be grounds for disqualification.
    • The submitted nomination(s) will be accepted upon the confirmation of payment.

2. RULES

    • For campaigns involving multiple agencies, credit must be given to all relevant agencies, including creative, media, digital, BTL, etc. The co-lead agency must be designated at the time of entry, and you may not add or remove a second lead agency after the entry period.
    • Each participating agency/organization can nominate any number of entries in the mentioned categories.
    • Each entry/campaign can be nominated in more than one category. In this case, the same campaign in a different category will be treated as an additional entry and charged accordingly.
    • For in-house work submissions, please list your company as both the Lead Agency and Client in the submission portal, Nomination Form, and PPT.
    • Case AV is mandatory as it helps the jury better understand and evaluate the campaign. Case AV can be submitted both in Bengali and English.
    • For campaigns that are no longer active on the offline/online platforms, screenshots must be highlighted in the entry form.
    • The results shared in the story must match the screenshot of the insight provided in quantitative/qualitative terms.
    • Agencies submitting their works under the Packaging Category of Commward 2025 must submit a sample of the package design.
    • Agencies/Organizations submitting for the packaging category must also send a packaging demo AV. The AV must provide a holistic view of the packaging, complementing the package design, innovation, features and functionalities within not more than 50 seconds.
    • Please carefully check and re-check the name of the campaign, category, and story that has been entered. Once the form has been submitted or presented to the judges, modifications cannot be made. (The information provided during submission and confirmation by the CMW Team will appear on the crest, winner post, or any other platform where the winners’ details will be reflected).
    • Once submitted, an entry cannot be withdrawn.
    • Please submit your entries by the deadline of August 10, 2025 (Sunday).
    • Judges’ scoring/disqualification/qualification/reclassification decisions apply to all Entrants.

3. GUIDELINES FOR NOMINATION & SUBMISSION

    • All entries for CMW 2025 must be submitted through the Online Platform (https://commward.com/).
    • Organizations/Agencies must fill all the necessary fields in the mentioned form with adequate information.
    • Please attach all the necessary content materials on google drive and share the link online. Also, make sure to change the settings to “Public/Anyone with the link” when submitting through google drive.
    •  All the submissions should have a single link following a folder named by the campaign title with nine sub-folders (**Nomination Form, *PPT, *NOC, Campaign AV, *Case AV, *Case Board, Creatives, *Insights (Proof of the result), *Logo – Agency & Brand). The Google Drive link should be accessible till the 31st of December 2025 for the CMW team.** These signs show the mandatory field.
    • The entry description must not exceed 500 words (refer to the form for the questions). A very long description can make it difficult for the judges to consider. A crisp and on-point write-up would be sufficient to take this ahead. The sentence structure must be on third person in order to keep the description neutral.

4. REQUIREMENTS

    • A PowerPoint Presentation based on a given template with a maximum of 15 slides (download the PPT template from the site).
    • Supporting Images of the campaign (Maximum 5 High-Resolution Images in .png or .jpeg format with a maximum size of 15 MB (size: H: 3” X W: 7”). If the campaign doesn’t contain any images, share a screenshot of the best scene from the campaign using the brand logo.
    • Case AV of the Specific Campaign (based on the context of submission & category but at most 2 minutes with a maximum size of 100 MB).
    • Campaign AV (brand/product/service-based Audio Visuals). High-resolution audio-visual and digital content in .avi, .wmv, .mp4 format.
    • A scanned copy of the NOC must be shared with the proper seal and signature of the client. No e-signature or mail conversation as proof of the NOC is accepted. Use only the given content of the NOC, agencies are allowed to use the client’s letterhead.
    • The results mentioned should have definite proof (screenshots of paid and organic reach, impressions, clicks, etc.). Check sample on page 16.
    • Provide an Ai/PNG logo of the brand and agency for the submitted campaign(s)

5. IMPORTANT POINTS

    • PDF of the nomination form will not be accepted.
    • Do not convert the PPT into PDF.
    • Do not share YouTube, FB, or Instagram campaign audiovisual/ picture links with us. CMW 2025 only accepts downloaded audio visuals images shared by the entrants.
    • Please share the original campaign links. For instance, if the entry is website based, the site address must be shared in the presentation.
    • The duration of Case AV exceeding 2 minutes will lead to disqualification.
    • Any Case AV for Art Direction, Copywriting, Film, Film Craft, Music/Jingle and Print is not mandatory.
    • If any entry is found to be plagiarized, it will be disqualified.
    • The submission of entry authorizes the Commward organizer to use (with due credits) a part of the text, images, and audio/video clips from the entry to use in print, radio, TV, internet, or any other digital platform to promote or report the Awards.

    • The context of a campaign refers to evidence or documentation that demonstrates the performance of the campaign. This proof typically includes data and analytics related to the key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, click-through rates, conversion rates, engagement metrics, return on investment (ROI), and other relevant metrics.

  • PHYSICAL SUPPORT MATERIAL
    • Submit a physical copy of the campaign (Script, Packaging, Art direction and Print) within three days of submitting for your nomination.
    • Agencies entering the Art Direction, Copywriting, and Print categories are required to provide physical copies of their campaign creatives. The mount board dimensions should be of 21 inches in width and 17 inches in height, with picture dimensions of 16 inches in width and 12 inches in height (lab print).

Is my work eligible for Commward?

The Commward (CMW) 2025 – Campaigns submitted should be active in the traditional & digital platforms from June 1st, 2024, to May 31st, 2025.

Can I pay first and upload material later?

No. All media included in your entry must be the final version at the point that you complete and checkout your entry. No replacement or additional media can be accepted after an entry has been finalized and received by the Commward team without exception.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Credit Card and Bank Transfer Payments.

The payment can be made through A/P Cheque/ Cash/ Credit/Debit Card/ Pay Order/ Mobile Financial Services. (bKash/Nagad)/ BEFTN/ RTGS payment mode. The payment for CMW 2024 should be referred to the name “Brandzeal.”

Does the entry fee cover all my entries?

The entry fee is charged per individual entry, i.e. one piece of work entered in a single category.

I have submitted my entries, what happens next?

After submission, each entry is reviewed by Commward team before it is presented to the Jury.
